The Oratorio
An original oratorio with full orchestra and choir.
The Story
A journey through darkness, struggle, hope and transformation
The Music
A powerful musical work .
From Darkness to Light
A new work of music, created to be heard, shared and brought to life on stage.
The oratorio is at the heart of this project: a new work of music with a story to tell and a performance waiting to happen.
Our aim is to bring together singers, musicians, creative professionals, volunteers and supporters to create its first live performance.
This website is the meeting point for that journey — a place to hear the music, discover the story, follow the progress and find out how you can help bring it to life.
How you can help
Bringing this oratorio to life will take more than music alone. We’re looking for performers, volunteers, professional expertise, supporters and people who can help us spread the word. Whatever you can offer, there is a way for you to be part of the journey.
Perform
Join the singers and musicians helping bring the oratorio to its first live performance.
Volunteer
Help with the practical work behind the project, from organising and events to promotion and administration.
Share your expertise
Have professional skills that could help? We welcome expertise in music, production, design, media, marketing and more.
Support the project
Help fund the practical steps needed to move the oratorio from creation to its first performance.
Spread the word
Share the music and the story with your friends, community and networks and help us build an audience.
Follow the journey
Stay connected, follow the project’s progress and discover opportunities to get involved as it develops.
From Darkness to Light
The Music
The best way to understand the project is to experience the music. Listen to extracts from the oratorio and discover the sound world we are working to bring to a live audience.

Do you sometimes have the feeling that you’re running into the same obstacles over and over again? Many of my conflicts have the same feel to them, like “Hey, I think I’ve been here before”
